Leominster Historical Society 

Our Tradition

The non-profit Leominster Historical Society has served the city of Leominster, Massachusetts, since 1906, upholding the mission of its founders to preserve, protect, and promote the community’s history.

The historical society is headquartered in the historic Field School building, built in 1870. Open to the public since 1971, the building serves as a museum and meeting space. The members of the Leominster Historical Society welcome visitors every Tuesday and Saturday from 9-12, and by appointment.

The Leominster Historical Society is a completely non-profit, volunteer-based community organization that relies on membership to sustain and expand our programs to preserve and present Leominster’s historical artifact, documents, photos, and knowledge.
